About Us

This collaborative initiative is led by Drs. Nolan and Dawson. The study is supported by a team of staff personnel and student trainees.

Faculty Investigators

Dr. Melissa Nolan is an Assistant Professor in the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina. She also serves as the Director of the Laboratory of Vector-borne and Zoonotic Diseases.

Dr. Robin Dawson is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of South Carolina.

Ms. Marie Thomas is the Program Manager for the Laboratory of Vector-borne and Zoonotic Diseases. 

Ms. Bella Paras is a Research Specialist with the Laboratory of Vector-borne and Zoonotic Diseases. 

Ms. Tamera Gaffney is a Research Specialist with the Laboratory of Vector-borne and Zoonotic Diseases. 

Ms. Kinley Warlick is a Community Health Worker with the Laboratory of Vector-borne and Zoonotic Diseases.
